The mines is situated in Saruabil village of Sadar Sub-Division, Jajpur district, Orissa State at a distance of 50 kms by road from Jajpur-Keonjhar road railway station on Howrah-Vizianagaram section of SE Railway. It is connected by all weather state highway at 140 kms away from Paradeep Port. The leasehold area is located in Survey of India toposheet no. 73G/16 (Lat. 21 degree 03' & 85 degree 47').
Saruabil sector falls in eastern part of Sukinda Chrome Ore belt and lies in a westernly sloping valley between the qartzite ridge of Mahagiri hill in the south and Daitary hill in the north. The stike length of the ore body is about 1.5 kms trending E-W to WNW-ESE and ultimately to NE-SW with a width varying from 9.0m to 18.0m. The amount of dip varies from 50* to 75* due south and SSW-NNW.
